Zinc Bisglycinate

Form: bisglycinate (amino acid chelate)

Zinc is the primary active ingredient. It supports immune regulation and is referenced in
European HS clinical guidance as an adjunctive maintenance option. Zinc deficiency is
documented in a significant proportion of HS patients. Bisglycinate form chosen for superior
absorption over gluconate or oxide, and gentler on the stomach. The only ingredient in the
formula with HS-specific interventional trial data (Brocard 2007, Hessam 2016, Dréno 2012).

Vitamin D3

2,000 IU

Form: cholecalciferol (D3, not D2)

Vitamin D deficiency is well-documented in HS populations and correlates with disease severity
in observational studies. D3 chosen over D2 as the form better supported for maintaining blood
levels. 2,000 IU is a standard daily maintenance dose appropriate for ongoing supplementation.

Curcumin Phytosome

300mg

Form: phytosome (Meriva-type) - 20-29x bioavailability vs standard curcumin

Included for anti-inflammatory support. Standard curcumin absorbs very poorly from the gut.
The phytosome delivery system complexes curcumin with phospholipids to dramatically improve
absorption. No HS-specific RCT, but strong anti-inflammatory mechanism literature. Biologically
plausible as an adjunct to the zinc and vitamin D core.

Copper Bisglycinate

Form: bisglycinate

Long-term zinc supplementation depletes copper through competitive absorption. Copper is
included specifically to offset this, a formulation safety decision, not a therapeutic ingredient.

Included at nutritional support level. Supports cellular energy metabolism. Our dose is nutritional
